Amazon FBA prep requirements checklist

The rules every unit must meet before Amazon accepts it. We handle all of these on every order.

  • FNSKU labeling: every unit carries a scannable FNSKU barcode covering the manufacturer UPC.
  • Poly bagging: any poly bag with an opening of 5 inches or more must display a printed suffocation warning in at least 24-point font; 1.5 mil bag thickness for durability.
  • Expiration dates: printed in MM-DD-YYYY or MM-YYYY format on the product itself, not just the carton.
  • Carton limits: 50 lbs or less per carton unless a single oversize unit requires more — then label "Team Lift" (50–100 lbs) or "Mech Lift" (100+ lbs).
  • Prep before arrival: all labeling, bagging, and bundling must be completed before inventory reaches an Amazon fulfillment center.

What is your FBA prep turnaround time?
Standard turnaround is 24 hours from the time inventory is received and checked in. Orders received before 2pm are prepped same-day. Most shipments reach Amazon fulfillment centers within 3-5 days of leaving our facility, thanks to our daily standing delivery appointments.
Do you handle FNSKU labeling and barcode printing?
Yes. We print thermal FNSKU labels in-house and apply them to every unit, covering existing manufacturer UPC barcodes per Amazon's requirements. Our 99.9% labeling accuracy rate means virtually zero mis-scans and receiving errors at Amazon FCs.
What is the difference between FBA and FBM, and which should I choose?
FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) means Amazon stores, picks, packs, and ships your products — you get Prime eligibility and Buy Box advantages. FBM (Fulfillment by Merchant) means you handle storage and shipping yourself. Most sellers use FBA for their top-selling ASINs and FBM for slower movers. We prep inventory for both models.
